建築家の父、声楽家の母のもと東京に生まれる。
桐朋学園短期大学声楽科卒業後、イギリス王立音楽院に学ぶ。
2012年、ロンドン・カドガンホールにて、葉加瀬太郎氏主催の東北復興支援コンサートに出演。 2015年、イギリスのアビーロードスタジオで録音した1stアルバム「Venere」を発表。2016年には2ndアルバム「L’umile ancella」の発表とともに、サントリーホールでの10周年記念ソロリサイタルを成功させ、ライブBD「Seia Lee L'umile Ancella dal Vivo」を発売。ミス・ユニバース・ジャパン東京大会でのゲスト歌唱。 2017年のサントリーホール公演では西本智実氏と共演。シンガポールのクラシックホールの殿堂esplanadeで開催された「String a Legacy」では、中国人ヴァイオリニストMin Lee氏と共演し本格的なアジアデビューを果たし、在シンガポール韓国大使館主催の建国記念祭では両国の国歌を斉唱。エヴァ・ロンゴリア氏が主宰し、デイビッド・ベッカム夫妻も参加する「Global Gift Gala London 2017」では、スティーブ・エドワーズ氏、トキオ・マイヤーズ氏等と共演。第14回ドバイ国際映画祭では、エイドリアン・ブロディ氏、ヴァネッサ・ウィリアムス氏、第60回グラミー賞で主要3部門にノミネートされたルイス・フォンシ氏等と共演。
2019年には、プラシド・ドミンゴ氏、ランラン氏とともに、ハンガリーで人気のクラシック・コンペティションTV「Virtuosos」に審査員として出演。 今秋の「ヴァチカン国際音楽祭2019」では、アンジェロ・コマストリ皇帝枢機卿が捧げるローマ教皇代理ミサに招かれ歌唱する。
日本とシンガポールを拠点にヨーロッパや中東などグローバルな活動を展開している。

Seia Lee is a respected mezzo soprano singer.
Seia was born in Tokyo, Japan to an architect father and vocalist mother. Following completion of her undergraduate study in Japan, Seia further matriculated at the famed conservatoire, the Royal Academy of Music in London, England.
In 2012, Seia performed with the celebrated Japanese composer and violinist, Taro Hakuse, for a charity concert in aid of the Japan earthquake and tsunami disaster held at the famed Cadogan Hall in London, England. In 2015, her album “Venere”, recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, garnered much success.
The following year in 2016, Seia marked her 10th anniversary debut with an acclaimed performance at Suntory Hall and saw the release of her second album “L’umile ancella” and a Blu-ray Disk entitled “Seia Lee L’umile Ancella dal Vivo”. In 2017 Seia was invited to perform in tandem with other professionals at the Miss Universe Japan pageant. She followed this with a performance with the prominent conductor, Tomomi Nishimoto, for Seia Lee Soprano Recital-Grace Note at Suntory Hall in Tokyo. That same year, a collaborative performance with the young renowned Chinese violinist, Min Lee, was held for the benefit concert titled “String a Legacy” at Singapore’s premier arts theatre Esplanade. Her work overseas continued with an invitation to commemorate Korea’s National Foundation Day, singing both national anthems of Korea and Singapore at the Korean Embassy in Singapore. At the Global Gift Gala London 2017 supported by Eva Longoria, Seia joined Victoria Beckham and a host of celebrities, making an appearance with Steve Edwards and the prodigious pianist, Tokio Meyers. This was followed by a performance at the 14th Dubai International Film Festival in which she shared the stage with Adrien Brody, Vanessa Williams, and Mr. Luis Forsi, who was nominated for three main branches at the 60th Grammy Awards.
Seia’s home base is both Japan and Singapore. Since her debut, she has performed in Europe, the Middle East and major cities across the globe.
In May 2019, Seia was invited alongside Placido Domingo and LangLang as a fellow judge on the Hungarian classical reality competition Virtuosos. This autumn Seia will be performing at the prestigious International Festival of Sacred Music and Art inside Vatican City as part of the Holy Mass celebrated by His Eminence Cardinal Angelo Comastri.
